Factory Visit

After month's of research on the net, looking through magazines (not that sort of magazine!), and going to car shows I'd finally chosen the kit car that I wanted to build, so today I visited the Road Track Race factory to go for a spin in the Mevabusa.

The factory was full of part built or pre-IVA cars and trikes and a Mevabusa, a very simple looking car with a small engine, but built for the sole purpose of going fast. Weighing approximately nothing and sporting a 180bhp stock Hayabusa engine has it's advantages, most of which I saw when taken for a test drive.

The acceleration is brutal, and using a padel shifter, the power just kept coming, with so little to stop, the brakes were just as immense and although we didn't do any extreme cornering, you can tell it's going to stay planted.

So I put down a deposit, and they'll start building early May meaning I'll take delivery of the parts around the start of June. Now I just need to find a Hayabusa to steal the engine from :)
